Doc - I'm sorry, but these pics don't show much of anything. Maybe just a common EF coin worth melt? That's all I see.

Coinfrog....I'm showing the coin for its color alone....who cares about a 1943 merc.....they're a dime a dozen...$20 bucks a dozen especially in vf-20 give or take....color type set. Some people like toned coins. We have to appease the masses......plus I didn't make it to the bank today....so the good stuff is lacking....but just wait and see what's coming in the next couple weeks.....I don't want to post the stock photos for the small chance it is gone before I get it.......I purchase it in a week or so.....at that point the stock pics can go up.and then when it comes in I'll update it with my shots.....It'll be my 3rd proof coin for the year's set.....worth more than melt...lol

I dislike the double staple.

Doc - I think the problem is that you don't know how to post good photos of your coins - straight-on full shots of both sides like most posters do rather than your angled, well-intended but unsophisticated efforts. Do you disagree?

Quote: I dislike the double staple. I was thinking the same thing. It's only a matter of time before one of those staples scratch another coin. I would take a pair of pliers and compress those staples down into the cardboard.

I can almost guarantee you will improve your photos if you take the coin out of the 2x2 first. I don't think the true color is coming through in the pics.

Not really ..I lose the light and shadows get cast over from the camera...I don't have the proper lighting. this is a quick attempt with a lint on the lens. I don't have the proper setup or the proper lighting. I'm not even as close as you and I already lost the light any closer ...becomes darkness.
