DoctorBurnzy Pillar of the Community United States 1378 Posts	Posted 02/02/2019 7:53 pm Coinfrog....I'm showing the coin for its color alone....who cares about a 1943 merc.....they're a dime a dozen...$20 bucks a dozen especially in vf-20 give or take....color type set. Some people like toned coins. We have to appease the masses......plus I didn't make it to the bank today....so the good stuff is lacking....but just wait and see what's coming in the next couple weeks.....I don't want to post the stock photos for the small chance it is gone before I get it.......I purchase it in a week or so.....at that point the stock pics can go up.and then when it comes in I'll update it with my shots.....It'll be my 3rd proof coin for the year's set.....worth more than melt...lol Edited by DoctorBurnzy 02/02/2019 9:50 pm Report this Post to the Staff

I don't think the true color is coming through in the pics. DoctorBurnzy Pillar of the Community United States 1378 Posts	Posted 02/02/2019 11:02 pm That's probably true....spruett001...I may give it a go again...I usually don't like doing that if I don't have a spare holder, but it's a melt value coin which I got a few bucks above because I liked it....I should give that a try and not worry about the holder. I should've done that from the get-go .lol. Spruett001..I really couldn't pick up the reverse and the original photo was better, but perhaps the obverse better from before. Attempt #2.....hoever Spruett I think the first attempts were better for color....but the second were better for the straight shots or somewhat straight-on shots. DoctorBurnzy Pillar of the Community United States 1378 Posts	Posted 02/03/2019 12:03 am Not really ..I lose the light and shadows get cast over from the camera...I don't have the proper lighting. this is a quick attempt with a lint on the lens. I don't have the proper setup or the proper lighting. I'm not even as close as you and I already lost the light any closer ...becomes darkness.
