Good evening everyone. I have quite a few of these coins in various dates and mint marks, all of which are similar to this coin, 1941. I believe the error in question would be a type 2 clash? Double or counter clash? The images on these coins all vary. And actually, I thought this coin had a stain on it for the longest time until I saw a post where a similar coin was in question and "Coop" sent him in the right direction. Here are a few images. Thanks to all who share their opinion/input...

Sorry, I don't see a clash in those pics. I do see a big ol' fingerprint on the left obverse, though.

As do I--looks a little like a burn mark from exposure to a flame, but it is hard to know exactly how the surface was discolored.

You can also buy a clip on magnifier for pretty cheap that clips over the lens on your phone from ebay.

On the Liberty area area, that is a fingerprint. Now how can a fingerprint stay on a coin? Possible question on some new ones minds. The fingerprints can have salt on them and in time, show up to stay on a coin as it alters the BU look on the coin. These are permanent on the coin. When it does all go away is when the mint glow is missing off the coin. So handle the coins by the edges only or wear gloves so that you don't leave your fingerprints behind on a BU coin.
