Bought a 1993P PROOF ASE locally for $35.00. It was in a NTC slab (PF-69 DCAM), but no longer. It now lives in my Dansco 8181 album, and looks real purdy there. Still missing the 94-P and 95-P, but I'll eventually get 'em.

Australian 1874 Sydney Sovereign

Buy-Of-The-Week

It's graded as AU55 by NGC and I picked it up for less than 1/3 of catalogue value. I am torn on whether to flip it on ebay for a quick dollar or hang on to it.

I bought another 1996 mint set today.

Wanted at least a couple of the "W" dimes.

It's kind of neat to own the only dime with the West Point mintmark.

Rest in Peace

markn, Great coin. I'm curious. Would you mind telling what it cost? I'd like one like that someday.

I have be in the 50 State Quarter Program and I have been receiving them as they are released. It shows the Official Seal of the State, the State Flag as well as the History of the State.
This is the latest addition.

Mila_cent, Those look very nice. A completed set should make a great collection.

US$190. Catalogue value is AU$850 (US$660), but I wouldn't expect to get anywhere near that. You can get real nice UNC sovs from later dates for around the US$170 $190 mark which is only $36 above melt. Harlan J Berk has some right now. Here's one: http://www.harlanjberk.com/worldcoi...number=40011

He also has some AU coins for $170, just $16 above melt.

His Majesty just arrived today, and I haven't had time to get him under the Canon's lens yet. I don't know if he'll still be in the slab when I do. Not exactly common, with a mintage of 58,875, but only the 4th-highest mintage from Ottawa.

Hi, I bought four foreign coins today at a coin shop. They only cost 20 cents each, but they are very interesting. I may try and collect at least one coin from every country in the world. That sounds like a lot of work, but it should be fun. Two of the coins I bought are very strange. One is 5 Ore, and my Grandpa says it might be from Norway. What makes it strange is that the words and the crown are pushed down or indented into the coin. The other coin that I really like because it is different is one with a hole in the middle. It is 10 something, and the letters look like Greek letters Ihave seen in a book. Well, anyway I love the coins and coin collecting. Bye.

We went to a coin store today and my sister and I each bought four foreign coins.

I can't figure out where one of the coins is from. It has a guy with a beard on one side, with the word anmokpitoz.

On the other side is what looks like an atom, with the number 10, and some more foreign words.

Another coin I bought which I think is neat is a 10 groschen. Since it says Osterreich on the other side I would guess it is from Austria. It is a 1975 coin but it looks brand new. I like it because it is so light. Maybe it is made out of aluminum? The coins cost me 20 cents each.
