Hello team!

My grandmother had some old pennies I was going through and I located this one. Does this appear to be post manufactured damage on the date?

Not an error. It's damaged from Post Strike Damage ( PSD). Something hit the other number perfectly, causing the metal to get completely pushed over and flattened.

It looks like a hit with a possible struck through on the date.

This once was probably clipped with a coin wrapper that damaged the '5'. Possible the last digit was altered with a vending machine. So it may have been beat up twice.

It appears to me like something sharp was used to try to scrape the date away.
