In going through a lot of my 1947-D cents today, I paused on this one. It clearly is not DDR-001. I am not at all sure that it even is a DDR, but I wanted to post it for feedback before tossing it back into the roll-and-sell bin.

What made me pause is what appears to be a very slight elongation of the dots in EPU and a possible slight doubling of the right wheat tip. This could well be MD or just circulation damage, but I don't want to throw it in the bin before ruling out a DDR. That said, if it is a DDR, it is extremely minor and wouldn't stir any excitement.

There appears to be very slight doubling of the "O" and NW tip of "N" in ONE. My inclination is that this is just Die Deterioration or circulation damage, which is why I seriously doubt the rest of the coin as a possible DDR.

Anyway, I welcome all opinions and I'm sure not emotionally attached to this one.

Here are the mug shots and detail photos.

Thanks, all!

I agree, the reverse looks normal. Mint mark is showing a contact mark. So it is a normal circulated cent.
