I forgot to tell you,it's the back side where it says United States of America. The "E" I United and the "AM" in America . Looks like a piece missing bit the words were stamped in it anyways.

Cathi to the community! That is a small Lamination Error. Not worth a real premium. It happens when impurities are trapped in the metal of the coin and lift away from the surface.

There are people who seem to collect laminations and other mint erros, but the heavy wear and damage on this coin will depress the its value. On the other hand, it is a S mint and from the teens, so that helps with the value.

Where can I find out what it's worth and possibly find a buyer?

I'm not 100% sure on value, but I would suspect somewhere less than a buck--perhaps in the $0.10 to $0.50 range based on what I see for sale on ebay. Others here may be able to give a better feeling of the value. Also, not because I think that this is the direction you were going, but rather just to make things super-clear, you don't have enough posts here on CCF to sell.

Probably a struck through debris that peel away from the coin. Lamination issues are more in a straight line.
