Found a 1920 penny. I know its Not in there great shape being it was found under dirt and rubble. I'm in a area where I seem to find old coins around quite often Any thoughts on this oldie? Pretty new to the Community.

I 've got no idea, but I would assume a details coin like this would be excluded from consideration as a PO-01 lowball by TPGs and/or collectors. Do you know? Every time I see a picture of a mangled coin, the thought crosses my mind.

Sharkman - I don't believe a heavily damaged coin like this can straight grade, even at PO-01.

Soak it in acetone.

That would be a waste of acetone.

Soap and water for that one - what can it hurt? She's in pretty rough shape, I've got a bag of wheaties that were mostly dug up by a metal detector friend that he gave me - this one would fit right in. Worth 1c.
Rest in Peace

When a common copper coin has been dug and in this state it is not worth anything other than FV .
