Found this nickel today and not quite sure what to make of it, the head of the beaver looks doubled, along with his back, the front of the beaver dam as well as some of the lettering in Canada and the date. Also along the rim there is a very noticeable ridge and what looks to be doubling on the denticles. The red arrows are where it looks like its doubled (forgot to put arrows on canada and the date) and the red circled areas on the rim are where you can see the ridge.

PS I use the word doubled alot but I'm not actually sure thats what it is, could be MD but I'm hoping someone with more experience can help me out.

These photos were taken with my phone but when I get a chance I will take some close ups with my microscope.

Mechanical die doubling - the die was loose during the strike and moved slightly shifting the detail. The shift could be lateral (left/right, right/left, up/down. down/up, etc.) or rotational (CW or CCW) or a combination of the two.

It's part of the minting process and not considered an error.

1960NYGiants, I am still learning about errors and varieties so I was not quite sure what I was looking at. So just to be clear the die shift could be both left/right or up/down in one strike? Ive run into alot of Machine Doubling through my searches but this is the first time running into one like this.

I have a hard time with viewing thins on a computer and not in-hand. Some of that could be Die Deterioration Doubling as well, where the edges of the die's design recesses are getting eaten away.

i was playing with filters on my microscope to try and get the shine from the light out so you could see better but here are some more clear pics of the lettering in Canada, I only asked because it looks like the C, D and last A are punched twice with one right on top of the other.
