Thanks for the reminder. Placed an order for both proof sets a few minutes ago. Hopefully my inclination that the mint addressed the packaging issue of the Lincoln Cents proves correct. Either way, it's free so I won't complain.

Mine has the shipping label created at least.

Sweet. And it'll be there very soon for you to crack them out and squirrel away in your albums.

With all the unexpected coin mint marks and finishes the past few years how do you deal with putting in an album? Are they blank?

Yes, most albums have a few unlabeled holes for such anomalies. Some CCF members bypass labeled pages all together and use blank pages to avoid the issue.

I bit and bought a couple. Mostly because of the .999 silver coins. Don't care about the penny, if it is spotted I will probably spend it.

A good time to do it.

Plus there is this amazing new invention called "white out". Not to mention label makers.

I received my five silver proof sets today. I have not had a chance to look them over closely, but I can say that all of the reverse proof -W cents look great.

I think Air-Tites are the way to go. They protect the coins and you can hold them like you would a coin.

Received my sets today and the RP cents are much nicer than the proof cents that came with the regular proof set. No brown spots on any of the coins!

I'm bored with and not interested in modern U.S. Mint gimmicks. I think this trend toards absurdity began in 1992 with these "silver" proof sets. Now the special finishes, mint marks, etc. make it worse than ever. I've stopped updating my Dansco sets as of end 2017, a habit I'd had since 1962. The bill for 2018 would have been about $180 from the Mint had I purchased (PS, SPS, RPS, Unc set, etc);this is too much(IMO)money and too many fantasy coins of mediocre designs.
