(or DDD) The die is wearing and it shows on the right side of the date, left side of LIBERTY and on the tops of the motto. It happens when the die is wearing out on the single squeeze dies. Not a doubled die. Note how it doesn't enlarge the devices, but it raises the fields? Report this Post to the Staff

If it looks like the image I posted, then it is not a doubled die. But that is what I saw on your image link. This happens a lot. As the die wears out, they start looking like your coin.
