What do you think of this guy? I want to get it graded, but I can't figure out exactly how much it would cost. She's a pretty coin, though.

Very nice find. What is the retail value? Just checked the bay and in MS66 it goes for around $250-$350. I am not good at grading, but yours looks to be 66-67. As a general rule,a coin needs to be worth at least $150 to justify all costs involved to have slabbed. I think you should use PCGS. John1

Keep them all safe in 2X2's for now. You can check ebay to see what they are going for? Sell them one at a time. Don't dump them all at once. (Flood the market, the price goes down) Pick the best one for yourself, then sell the others, s l o w l y.

There were 6. I have had them for awhile. I still have the best 3. They seem pretty spotless, but it doesn't really matter until I get them slabbed, I figure. A buddy of mine had one graded for me, and it came back a 66, but he doesn't remember what it costs. I'm far from rich, and just don't want to end up bankrupting myself getting my favorite coins graded.

Very good advice from coop. I did not know about this variety, I only search cents. It looks like the eagle got hit by a cross bow bolt. Quote:Here's the kicker...I found several in the roll.&& Was it an original bank roll?

But if they grade 67 or 68 they would be worth thousands each ,check ebay sold values. John1

Thank you, John1, and yes, DrDon, they are from an original bank roll.

I thought so. That is the best reason for searching OBRs, multiple MS examples of anything you find. I hunt mostly for cents. Years ago I found over 100 examples of a "bar on column" type double die going through a box of OBRs.
