I hope this is the right forum.
I received this today at work. I was so excited because it's my first one. That and I don't believe I've seen one before.

Where DO you work? This is a great gift/find/bonus!
In future try to orient your pictures right side up.
My neck is not as flexible as it used to be..

Do you know the "story" behind this coin?
1) The only coin that has advertising it - the makers of the bell:
Pass and Stow
There is also a commemorative coin with this bell.
2) The designer, John Sinnock, knew of Franklin's dislike
for the eagle as a symbol for the US so he deliberately make the eagle
tiny. Not proved but an interesting tidbit..

May you enjoy it!

Lol. I just work at an extremely busy store. I find nice copper pennies some days. Plenty of wheaties.
But this!! This is awesome!! I am competing with my store manager who collects coins for his son. So I'll have to keep a better eye out.
Bucket thank you for fixing my post.
MathewVincent I will make sure the photos are correct for you next time.
Sure feels good to be back into my hobbie.

Yes sir. Welcome to the forum! The Franklin half is a nice series to assemble. Mint state examples are plentiful and within most budgets.

If you hunt half dollar rolls there's a good chance of finding one too.
