I can't call the obv EF...the whole ear is blended in...the hair is smooth'd down...I'd go VF35.

Both 1924-D and 1925-D are brutal to grade because of strike weakness. The coin has VF-30-ish appearance, but the soft strike accounts for much of that. The reverse, in particular hints at a higher grade. Even with the soft strike, I see enough detail in the wheat grains to call this an EF. With a trace of luster, I think this one could walk through at EF-45, but I'd be more comfortable at EF-40.

I suppose EF-40 overall, but the color as shown here looks unnatural. Perhaps just the lighting.
