LOVE IT!!

I have been eyeing this HOBO coin for weeks and decided to get it this weekend.

I wanted to share with all of you and tell me what you think. I love vintage and art and this coin represents both so very well. Not only is the obverse altered but the reverse is also in AWESOME detail and related logic of the obverse and revers...lol...a Skeleton Eagle! Love the Cervical Vertebra on the neck.

Amazing!

Have you good people seen such a detailed obverse and reverse HOBO coin?

Enjoy the pics below and feel free to give feedback. Personally, I have never seen such effort put into such a coin and large of one.

Happy Fathers Day to all!

@103070, yes amazing artwork on this piece, although for sure this wasn't done by an actual hobo. One of our own CCF members (@nohope587) also modifies coins. Here is a link to an example of his work:

This is one of a series of known Chinese counterfeit "Hobo" Morgans. It's a die struck zinc alloy fake.

This coin was NOT hand carved. It's a Chinese made "novelty" item.

Well, that's too bad. These types are still called "hobo" coins, even if they are recent creations. However, they need to actually have been carved, not cast/struck.

It looks like something you'd see on a Grateful Dead album cover.
