to CCF. Looks like MD=machine doubling, to me. Not a doubled die. Good eye you have though. Keep up the hunt and you will find a doubled die. Here is a link that shows both the collectable and non collectable types of doubling. http://koinpro.tripod.com/Articles/...Doubling.htm

WADR,you should work on your pics. Still a bit out of focus and it still looks like MD to me. What is your pic taking set up?

Not many DDO's on the dimes. Take a look on the Variety vista page:

Note the Blue high lighted dates. those are the only years they have listing for. So pretty much after 1972 there are not many doubled dies.

It does look like Machine Doubling...the underlying image is flattened not rounded as it would be in a true DD.
