Terminology with the stretching like appearance kind of like orange peel look? Also there are cracks in the coin on the reverse side the most noticeable being the ones that go under e pluribus unum and over top of the word Dime. Thanks...

I agree with @john1--the die was wicked tired by the time it came to striking this dime. On the other hand, that is a nice die crack!

It's called Die Deterioration. It happens when the die starts to get worn down, from striking planchets at the U.S. Mint. It's the normal consequences of die use. I can see a very long Die Crack on the reverse as well.
