The devices exhibit Machine Doubling (I believe) but also the letters are "pulled" up north. F in FG "looks" doubled Any and every opinion/ feedback welcomed! A worn die issue, from striking a ton of planchets at the U.S. Mint. That's the normal consequences of die use. coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 07/02/2019 8:24 pm Thanks for posting this. It helps show the difference between Die Deterioration and die wear. This is die wear. (This happens on the old style of multi hubbed dies with the higher profile devices) This is Die Deterioration: (This happens on the single squeeze dies with the lower profile devices) Note how the Die Deterioration doesn't affect the actual devices.
