I was lucky enough to purchase 46 foreign coins yesterday, which I know absolutely nothing about! The coins are amazing, I feel the darkside force pulling me closer! I beleive they are mostly German coins, but there are lots others too. I will be posting them up as I take pictures. Any help identifying them would be great! Here is one to start with. It has some wild color to it and the reverse is full of mint luster. I took a few different pics to try to show the luster.

Groups of a few related coins together in a single topic would be nice.

#1 German States - Hesse-Darmstadt 5 Mark mintage 40,000 KM#373
#2 I have not found it yet , but looks suspicious. There appears to be copper sulfate (that blue/green color) on the coin. These would have been silver//
#3 - not found
#4 German States = Frankfurst 1 Thaler Km#360 mintage 2.7M
Hope this helps and still looking

I was thinking the same thing about the 1758 coin. There isn't a trace of copper on the coin though. It looks like verdigris. Here is another one.

As soon as I get more photos taken I will post them later today after work. Thanks for the kind words and help identifying them. I paid 400$ for the whole group of 46 coins. There are alot more coins I need to photograph! I never new foreign coins would be so exciting and attractive.

I am in shock. If you are not a foreign collector, what are you doing spending $400 on them (where I come from $400 is a LOT of money)!! These are really nice coins though, so if the rest are in the same ballpark, it feels like a good deal.
