My mom gave me this today said she found it one of her old purses not sure if that's an imprint or was it run over by a train any info would be awesome.

Looks like an acid dipped Mercury dime. Post Strike Damage ( PSD). Not an error coin, sorry. Keep it, since it's still worth Silver melt value.

It weighs 1.52 grams it's completely silver and non magnetic

Ok well then it has lost about 60% of the weight that it had at the mint. This seems like extreme wear or more likely a nitric acid bath.

Winged Liberty dime (Mercury as noted above) that's missing lots of detail.

Could this just be from just wear?
