Alright, finally a decent box! I went through 2 boxes and $10 in customer wrapped rolls, and I'm quite happy. In one box, I found 2, YES 2, 1909 wheat cents. Thanks to Bump111 for the good luck wish that no doubt caused me to find these two. Some other highlights included an uncirculated 1947 Wheat cent, a 1924 Wheat cent, and a 1915 Wheat cent. I should be able to do another $25 to $50 tommorow, but unfortunately I will have to take a one week break as I will go on vacation to Europe and I will have no access to banks. Anyways, below are the totals as usual. So far: 44,300 pennies searched through To go: 955,700 Finds United States coinageTotal Wheat Cents: 263 total 50's pennies: 131 40's pennies: 103 30's pennies: 19 20's pennies: 5 10's pennies: 3 09 pennies: 2 Indian Head cents: 1 (1897) Philadelphia mint proof token: 1 (no date on it even though it's uncirculated) Foreign Coins Canadian 1 cent: 371 total Post 1965: 325 Young Head (1953-1964): 36 King George VI type II (1948-1952): 3 Kinge George VI type I (1937-1947): 7 (oldest: 1939) Bermuda 1 cent: 1 ½ New Penny: 1 Un centismo de Balboa: 3 Commonwealth of the Bahamas-one cent: 2 Dimes Roosevelt: 11

Some people were asking for pictures of the 2 1909 wheat cents that I found yesterday, so I thought I would provide them. As you can see, they're a little worn, but pretty good for being 110 years old!!

Alright, just finished the last box of pennies I will look through before a one week break. It was pretty good, I picked up 19 wheats and a couple early Canadians. This challenge has given me new excitement when it comes to Coin Roll hunting, and I cannot wait to continue this once I return from vacation. I will still check this forum once a day, so if you have any questions, comments, suggestions, etc., please leave them here and I will read and respond to them. Thanks for the continued support! Scott Holmes, What state are you in? I am in Ohio, and I don't get that many. I am blown away by the number of older Canadian cents you are finding. Congrats on that IHC also!

What a difference a change in location makes. Through all the coins prior to this post, I was only hunting in massachussets and maine. The results were lots of canadians and a good amount of wheats. That seems to have come to an end as I returned to California and searched through $50 in pennies to find only 19 wheat cents and 3 canadians total. I will keep searching and hope for better results. Until next time. Are you tracking the Mints? I'd be curious about the distribution of older coins from East/West coast.
Going through 1,000,000 cents is daunting enough without a mintmark study, though.
