I thought that I'd take a Loop to my Dansco Quarter album which has my collection from Mint Sets.

I came across this beauty!

I reviewed the die markers on Coneca and I think it is Stage D; missing designated die gouges on scalp and on wing.

I love to hear anyone's thoughts as to the Grade of this coin and if I should send it in for Grading.

While the coin is close to MS, high AU, that obverse looks like it's had abrasive cleaning. No hint of that on the reverse. Photo shots perhaps?

Thank you, both, for chiming in!

It came in a Capital case as a P,D,S set.

AU at best, then, and cleaned. Okay.

Here are few more pics.

That's a nice RPM! I'm focusing on Silver Washington quarters for my collection right now so I'm hoping to come across things like this.

Capitol cases are after market and some collectors sell them or store coins in them. This coin is showing coin scratches on the fields indicating it was cleaned. If someone thinks they are BU in these cases and buys them, the seller got more money for them.

coop,

That's what I started to suspect when I heard "cleaned". Newbie, here. Live and learn. I'm still happy with my collection and over all happy with what I've paid for most of it. I accumulated a lot over a short period of time, this year. Learned a lot, too, thanks to experts like most of you, here, and what is second nature to you, probably won't be to me.

Depends on your desire to learn.

But the RPM will bring back what you may have lost. First time I've seen this one before.
