Alright, I have the debunked version of the 1989 LMC RDV-005 and this cent is just a little different. It sits higher up and is further from the Memorial. Yes, I know all too well that there has yet to be a 1989 P or D found with the RDV-005. So please tell me this 1989 D LMC is just the run of the mill RDV-005! One other thing that I have noticed is the bottom of the Memorial on the RDV-005 has a thinner line than the RDV-006. This cent has the same thin line as the RDV-005. The first pic is the 1989 D, the second pic is a 1988 D RDV-005 and the third pic is a 1989 D RDV-006. I thought about the over polishing angle of this and if it was over polished to remove that much of the serifs on the G it should be a lot further from the Memorial than what it is. I'll say this, I'm sure that if this is deemed an over polished die issue the I will never look at the FG on the reverse of an 89 again!

Rookie, I wish it were that simple. I am all but sure it is the RDV-005. This one goes against the grain of everything I've learned. I am just truly stumped with no idea why every one of these things I see I pretty much know what they are as soon as I look at it. Not this one and I don't know why.

I want it to be a five, but think it's a six. The first pic kinda shows the flare on the 'G'.

The last pic shows 89 reverse, the first two don't iN my opinion. Jim, I wish you best of luck and hope it's reverse of 88.
Cheers

Grapes, that is actually a small plating bubble. I'm telling you, I've never been more stumped on a coin than I am right now.

Guys, I went back and looked at that cent and I owe everyone an apology. For some reason I had it in my mind this cent was a 1989 D. It is not, it is a 1986 D. Why in the world I would post it was a 1989 D is beyond me. I am humbled by this mistake and hope y'all except my sincerest apologies.

It's all good Jim, we all make small mistakes. If you saw my test scores, one mistake wouldn't bother you.

It's Not a big deal. We all make mistakes. Besides, reading this post made a little part of my day more interesting. -CH27
