Looks like a normal 1982-D large date with a hit on 19. Also,it would be called a doubled die,not double die. If it weighs 3.1 grams it is copper and 2.5 if copper plated zinc,it looks 3.1. John1

It weighs 3.1 g, I looked at the DDO listings and it looked like a matchup with one but just posted the date on coin first. I just don't know what to look for yet I guess lol & Ali

Dont feel too bad. Ive posted a ton of stinkers and a few good ones, not a great feeling when they get rejected, but great when you hit! keep searching and posting try to learn something new from every failure. You'll eventually get one!
From my limited experience, try to stay away from coins with too much damage and ones that are late die stage at first if you can. It will save a good deal of grief in the rejection department, unless youre like me and are a glutton for punishment. Lol

Thanks everyone! I'm definitely trying to figure it all out still. I have coins of my own I have collected that I have started with while trying to get familiar with the World of Coins haha and a huge collection from my dad with so many coins I don't know where to begin. Books, and silver and Indian heads, Half Cents, Buffalo head, etc etc etc ... there is so much lol I have no idea where to start, and not sure who to take to and trust. Is there certification needed for shop owners or word of mouth? There is Canadian too in there. Collection is probably from the 40's or before when it started, with my Grandfather. My dad worked at a bank too, so he loved collecting! Just need to figure out what we do next with appraisals etc and best way to slowly organize
