Bought this one last week, looks pretty nice but I'm not very good at grading. Do the think the lamination devalues the RPD?

I sent this to PCGS for grading but got it back in the same flip I sent it to them in with a "Do Not Holder" sticker on it. Not sure why, I selected the genuine option "Holder Coins with Genuine Grades" on my submission form. Kind of bummed about this one.

they dont like to slab laminations.

im not positive, but I think its because pieces can come loose in the slab and then you have a whole different kind of rattler.

Code 83 "peeling lamination" https://www.PCGS.com/grades#grade83

"Do not holder" https://www.PCGS.com/news/whats-a-P...o-grade-coin

Quote:
Usually, a No PCGS Holder return will occur in cases where the coin has peeling lamination, is of unverifiable authenticity, is counterfeit, contains polyvinylchloride (PVC) residue, or the like.

Seems kinda lame to me.
