Wondering what this actually is and If I should keep it or not? Anyone know or seen one like this?
It looks like a die crack, the metal is all raised up from the rest of the coin.

I do not want to take it out of the holder. I have looked at it all angles and it is for sure with out a doubt raised up metal like a die crack on the coin.

It appears to me to be a piece of lint that was on the planchette before the coin was struck.

After striking, the lint is retained and appears to still be there.

I'd keep it as an oddity.

There's no way of knowing what it really is without removing it from the capsule. That's what I would do, just be careful. Wear gloves if you want. It looks like a fiber caught in the capsule to me. Based on the lighting, it appears to be raised on the coin, but it does not resemble a die crack at all. Also, quality control on these is too high to allow a die error like that. Lint that was struck into a planchet wouldn't have such a high profile.

Just open the darn thing.

Agreed. It even looks like there is a little bit of a shadow being cast down onto the coin from whatever it is.
