Doubled Die Obverse / DDO Quarters And 1969 S Repunched Mint Mark / RPM Cent

Carolinacoingirl New Member United States 2 Posts	Posted 09/07/2019 3:38 pm Hello- I'm new so forgive my lack of knowledge. My question(s) involve a Bicentennial quarter, a Shawnee quarter, and a 1969 S cent. The quarters look like they are DDOs and the cent has what looks like an S over D if compared to the 1946 S over D. I paid my membership fee to one of the big grading companies and elected for "attribution". None of the coins received any confirmation of doubling or a mintmark error so I looked under the scope again after receiving them back from the Grader. Again, I'm new at this so perhaps I'm not understanding exactly what a DDO really is or what is happening with the mintmark. With regard to the mm on the 69 cent there is what looks like a clear punch mark underneath the S as opposed to a Cud. Another interesting mark that looks like an A appears on the "W". Anyway would love your thoughts. Btw the quarters graded low which I knew would be the case-Shawnee AU-55, Bicentennial-AU-58, 1969s-MS64RD. Thanks so much. '69 S would love to take a closer look at the mintmark, if you are able to provide a clear picture. OP I would suggest for you to take a look at different sites to learn what to look for and watch some videos on YouTube to learn different classes of doubled dies. By the way, Coop has great videos on Doubled dies, I'd suggest you look at his 5 videos. I've learned a lot from watching his videos and frequently visiting this forum Report this Post to the Staff

If it like having someone taste what your cooking tastes like and have all the different foods mixed together on the plate. So a different thread for each coin will help make more sense.
