I'm the odd one out here. It's a very nice 1882-H.
This is a bit of a soft strike, sharper toward the rims and weaker toward the center of the portrait. Contrast the sharply defined eyebrow with the softness on the laurel wreath leaves directly above the ear.
There is significant loss of detail on both top knot twists. On the top twist, only the central line is clearly visible. The other two lines are incomplete. On the bottom twist, the primary line is weak on the left side. These are wear indications, since they are close to the rim and in an area of relative strike strength.
The first braid shows little detail below the tip of the ear. Some of this is strike weakness, but the rest is from circulation. About 3/4 of the hairlines between the laurels and top knot are visible. There is wear on the braid, though much detail remains.
On balance, considering the strike, I'm at EF-40 here. Again, it's a very nice eye-pleasing specimen and a tough date to find above VF.
