Quote: . Even a 68 can fetch a good price. May be because his was the first 68 recorded by PCGS. The others may not be as fortunate. 68s will be cheaper but still not cheap. Even a details one or a 63 would still be several hundred

Quote: This coin has so many things that make it an adventure.
...trying to get one on day one ...trying to get one on day two (MUCH easier) ...accepting a $475 offer from a dealer who didn't confirm...GREAT! IT'S MINE! ...getting it in hand and deciding whether to open the box or not (not) ...deciding whether to submit the coin for grading (yup) ...no clue what the cert number is ...no clue if it is one of the Holy Grail signed low number ones ...submission delivered but not logged in for days ...watching the completed sale prices rise to stupid levels ...watching the submission move along and waiting for shipping and delivery so I can actually see what I bought...and what cert number I got...
Well worth sixty five bucks
I agree, from the presale speculation and anticipation in this thread, the crazy adrenaline pumped US mint website experience at 12:00:01 on Nov 14, order confirmation email received from US mint, ensuing ebay madness. This isn't something you could explain to somebody a year from now unless they experienced it. Glad I was along for the ride.

For me the hardest part was the coin being delivered by sloths. It took over 2 weeks to get the one ordered on Friday while the Thursday one only took 10 days. I did the math, I could walked faster from Memphis to my house.

Just saw my grades from PCGS and scored two 70s. I'm glad I rolled the dice and had them graded.

Seller has two cancels for the ERP and another cancel (did not ship) for another item.
Would not be where I would trust my $90k....
...and...a $90,000 coin shipped by First Class Package?

...and...a $90,000 coin shipped by First Class Package? No doubt. The seller broke three legal contracts. ebay should cancel his account. If it could be proved that it was the only one the seller had, a buyer could sue for the difference and would have a good case.
