Hi all, I recently picked up this coin, please grade.. Please note the green stuff was some sort of organic material it came off in an acetone bath. I thought it was verdis but it was just some plastic matter. I only noticed the green stuff when looking at the picture in full resolution. Its now removed in the coin but of course my camera is all packed away and my wife is asleep. I'll try to take another picture tomorrow.  Edited by hfjacinto

Looking at a high XF to AU coin. The green stuff may slightly interfere in grading and may nick it a few points.

AU55.
Just keep away fro other coins.
Bronze disease (green verdigris) can spread from coin to coin. Copper nickel coins don't normally suffer from this.

AU-55, perhaps AU-58. Get after that green!

reverse strike a little weak. I think its closer to AU58 than 55

The green stuff is likely PVC residue.

AU-58, I doubt it actually circulated but has been mishandled over the years.
