This coin is far from perfect but I'm glad to have it. Especially since only 20,000 were minted.

Please offer your grading opinions.

Cheers to the coin community!

Agree VG-10, scattered obverse hits detract.

The laurel silhouette is weak, but complete. All of the leaves can be identified. The top knot shows some detail, especially the lower twist of the knot. The braid shows a hint of the twists. The hair between the laurel and top knot is weak, but a few detail lines are visible. The hair between the braid and the forehead has a small amount of detail. The eyebrow is gone. The cheek, ear, and neck show heavy wear. All lettering is readable. Except for the pitting on the braid and laurel leaves, the surface of the coin is solid.

The presence of all of the laurel leaves suggests F-15, rather than F-12, where the uppermost and lower leaves tend to blur together. The top knot also hints at F-15, while the loss of detail in the hair hints at F-12. I pause on whether the obverse pitting could detail the coin. I think it might on a higher grade, but likely would only drop-grade the coin a notch in the Fine spectrum, resulting in a net grade of F-12.

A textbook F12 wear wise.
Unfortunately it's quite damaged and ugly.

I am 65 and I think my wife would grade me above an F12, even though I am damaged & ugly

It's an F-12. Don't allow a large photo to exaggerate the perception of surface problems. This is a normal well circulated coin from a challenging series.
