I will stick to this one for my coins in question but if I dont get much feedback on the newer coins posted on here you may find me posting the same coin that I still question. Not that I have any complaints its just that maybe its not a good thing that I make so many posts, I dont know what do you all think new post each time for different coin is that better? And yes this coin is gross thanks lol The thing I was looking at was the edges to this coin seem to be thinner than the surface base.

Always best to remove coins from holders whenever possible. Pics are a bit rough, but looks like zinc rot. Not an error. John1

@youngmaster, if you feel that you aren't getting sufficient feedback on a particular coin, rather than re-post on a separate thread, you should "bump" the existing thread by asking for more input. With that said, please have patience as members wax and wane in their participation depending on work/school/sleep/travel schedules.
I agree that the glare from this 2x2 impedes our ability to see what you have there, but those white splotches on the rev of this cent are indicative of zinc rot. Along the obv, I can see what you mean that there is a groove around the rim--this is just damage (not a mint error).

People will lose interest if you post a whole bunch of different coins with questions under one topic, just sayin.

It's a potato. Well that photo could be one.
It needs to be
* In focus * Square to the coin (you've got that) * Cropped to just the coin (you've got that) * The whole coin (you've got that)

Spend the cent and throw away that 2x2, you don't want to place another cent in it with that zinc rot hanging around

u are right I did reuse it but for another one in poor shape is that still not worth doing? I feel like such a rookie asking these questions.
