To the CCF!

While I'm no pro at clipped planchets, I gotta say yours looks more double pinched rather than clipped. I am not seeing any Blakesly affect opposite the "Clips". Plus it looks like from your revers photo, the metal from the"clips" is pushed downward towards the reverse and is still attached.

IMO this is PMD not an error.

We will see what the others say.

@lm, I too am suspicious. Can you please post a couple pics of the edge at the region of the potential clips? Thx.

I have to agree on this one, doesn't seem like a legit clip since it's missing the blakesley effect ( not always there) but the pushed metal on the reverse really made my opinion on this one

I will take some edge pics shortly. The edge is pretty much at an angle and wouldn't that take a serious amount of force to do something like that super clean edge?

The problem for me is that the obverse shows one thing, the reverse is not showing the same event. It should be a vertical cut on both sides of the coin. It doesn't look legit to me.

The blank for this coin could? have been pinched on the corner of a rolled strip.
Straight clips are the result of the blank being punched out on the edge and / or the side of the rolled strip.

Sometimes if the clips are not big enough, the
Blakesley effect will not happen.
