I have decided to no longer collect coins that aren't certified. Because being inside of 2x2 holders doesn't really offer much protection when handling or storing them. I have lots of raw coins, but they're low valued coins. What do you guys think is the best way to get rid of them?

Sell them as a lot. I would be interested in the silver lot.

If you need to move them quickly, then sell them as a lot but you will most likely get less for them than if you sold them individually. ebay or CCF is probably the best way to sell these. You could also offer them to a coin shop if you have one near you.

Check for local auctioneers. They will certainly sell them and the prices might pleasantly surprise you.

Nice lot. My first thought was this is a good start on a US Type Set. Lots of holes filled with these.

Give them to young numismatists to help seed the next generation of collectors?

@Spence, I did try doing that with no date Buffalo nickels. I am not sure if they ever got into collecting coins though.

Fair enough--you have to take a bit of a leap of faith. By the way, here is a prior thread with a couple other ideas: http://goccf.com/t/289707

List them on this forum and on FB groups. I would only do ebay as a last resort. I buy tons of coins on my FB groups and I constantly check this forum and other forum for sale sections!

Look up coin shows in your area. If you find one take all those to one and walk around the show asking if anyone wants all of them.
