I think we would need more info, first the weight and second much clearer pixs of the rim (your fingers are in focus but the rim is blurry) holding off on my opinion...good luck

The more I see the post on this coin , the more it irritates me, for one I didn't ask for art azz remarks or comments I was asking for myself, I made a mistake after posting and fixed the mistake and explained. Apparently too many keyboard heroes that can't read , can only look at pics , if I was selling this coin to you I could understand the remarks , but that's not the case , have a good day

The clad layer on a Washington quarter should weigh about 1 gram. With one side missing the weight of the coin should be about 4.67 grams and the strike would show some weakness. Only a couple of dozen coins have ever been certified as missing both clad layers, so it's extremely rare. Here's a coin 1979 quarter with a bonding error (missing clad layer) that I posted last year. http://goccf.com/t/357961&SearchTerms=missing,clad

Lc2424, no need to get irritated or be overly sensitive. Everyone of us have made mistakes and a little ribbing is done between friends.

Lc2424, you posted the question and the pictures. You then got five serious answers. You then posted the pictures on the scale and I made a flippant remark, but also included a smiley to show it wasn't serious. Coop then post a mild joke as well but included LOL at the end, neither his or my comments were serious jibes AT YOU. Then YOU went off yesterday for frankly no good reason, in an 8 month old thread.
