I found this coin roll hunting the other day. I researched dies used at the mint to see if I could match the marking on the reverse of this coin but couldn't find anything. The obverse appears to have at minimum 3 strikes of part of the reverse. There is also multiple strikes of letters under the word "TRUST". Any thoughts? I thank you in advance for your input.

Looks like a clamp or vise job.

I had similar thoughts. If that is the case, they went to a lot of effort.

That is a weird pattern of damage, I wonder if this was used to even out the legs on a chair.

Almost looks as if someone put it behind a 22 caliber rifle and pulled the trigger

As Mentioned Bbwgirlly1982, the obverse is just a vise job or glue so yes, there's some kind of letters, backwards ones to be exact, that's what gives away the diagnoses. I don't understand why you asked for more pictures, it's clear in the original post, the OP even specifically mentioned it. Additional pictures are just a waste of space.

Probably a 'C' clamp was used on it. Applied several times on the reverse altering the obverse. Spendable. PSD

Exactly what it looks like coop, didn't think of that. The disk always moves as you tighten it on something.
