hey guys...on this coin it looks like the copper color has come off of the coin... it looks odd to me but would appreciate any insight...thank all of y'all that took the time to respond...im very appreciative...

I agree that it looks odd, but who knows what sort of environmental or chemical conditions it was exposed to that caused this patchy toning. By the way, can you please post full pics of the front and back of this coin? I'm interested in the ridge around the rim at about 3 o'clock on the obv. Maybe a Rim Fin?

Copper can take on most colors of thew rainbow under the right circumstances.

It even mimics fingerprints. (Which this maybe what we are seeing)
