Yokozuna Pillar of the Community United States 4618 Posts	Posted 11/12/2019 8:53 pm I think it's Very Late Die State as Coinfrog pointed out and I think it's a light grease strike at least on the obverse. Really deep rims are a sign of Grease Filled Dies because the metal wants to expand. When the dies features are blocked with grease the metal expands into the rims. Anyone else? I'm leaning more towards a over polishing to remove a feeder finger damaged coin. The obverse showing heavy flow lines on he fields. So the dies have been altered and aged. we see a lot of these here. Not a premium for the coin. Just an educational piece to show to new collectors. Report this Post to the Staff
