PCI graded. Also a possible misplaced date in the denticles below the '7' on the date. Any thoughts?

PR65DCAM. Incredible coin. I believe a misplaced date is known for this year on proof 25c pieces so it wouldn't suprise me

Photos aren't quite sharp enough, but PF-65 would be a good guess. Most likely dipped but not sure why they'd put a coin like this in PCI holder and not go with NGC or PCGS. Are we missing something?

I'll say PR-66.

Looks really good. I'll say PR66 as well. Might CAM but I can't tell from those pictures.

Thank you all for the comments, I'll reveal the grade tomorrow. Does anyone think that this a misplaced date? I bought this pretty cheap about ten years ago at $450.

It looks like reverse die I which should be paired with obverse die 8. But, it doesn't look quite like Obverse Die 8. This just got more confusing.

The coin has nice mirrors but lacks the cameo contrast. I don't see any hairlines and it looks much better in hand than the photos show. Would you try to upgrade with PCGS or NGC?

Personally, I would have this coin graded again.

Two reasons...

#1 - coin looks a lot nicer than PF63 in these photos.

#2 - Might CAM or DCAM - could be a 2K+ coin.

It does look better than a 63. My guess is it's been expertly dipped to remove any trace of color/toning and that likely hurt the luster/eye appeal a bit. It does not appear like a CAM.

Certainly a 64 or 65 grade is possible. It is worth a try.
