Need to send it back to them, the seal on that batch failed for whatever reason. Could have been a bad batch of slabs or something but they'll put them in new slabs for free. Just call customer service on Monday
Yup, totally unacceptable. I have submitted many coins to PCGS, with none ever coming back like that. Call them explaining the problem, and send them back. They will make that right I am sure instantly.
Quote: Depends. Generally a couple days, right now a week or so as they're backed up and worked a weekend to catch up
But after the first of the year when green monster boxes of 2020 ASE's start flooding in the wait time will grow significantly.
Quote: I thought they were sonically sealed,not a snap-tite.
They are, but they probably snap together before they go to the sonic welder.
It is rare for it to happen but every now and then a submission or part of one, misses the sonic welder and doesn't get sealed. PCGS will fix the problem.
