Looks like a hit or die chip to me. As far as I know, there isn't any 2015 D DDOs, there is however, 2015 DDOs.

They're simply not on the Wexlers and Varieties website.

Thanks,

Can you give more close up images of the markers? Such as the date, the LIBERTY, and such.

Okay, I'll try and upload some more picts later.

Question: When it shows "eye" on these listings, what am I looking for?

I honestly don't know, this is out of my skill range. I'll wait for the others to chime in.

looks like it. I think the photo of the eye is just for reference in case your coin had different die markers in the area (same for the other photos of other normal looking devices). It could help differentiate between a different variety or different die state. Good find.

On Variety Vista for this die, you need to look at the description line. On this one it says:

Quote:
Description: Light spread South as an extra earlobe.

So the only area that has the doubled die is the earlobe area. The other images are handing in case you are trying to match up markers. (Die scratches/cracks/chips/die wear patterns/die state differences/over polishings) So always look at the descriptions on the sites to see what is/what is not part of the variety.

CoinHI: Sorry but not a DDO-002. Falls short of a 002. The 2015 D DDO-001 is the coin I sent to MR Wiles and Carl sent in the 2015 D-002, Carl also found one close to yours and MR Wiles would not list it, said it was to minor for a listing. I have just sent in 4 more with DDO, One I think will be listed as a DDO-003 and the NEW one I found should be listed as a 2016D DDO-001 I hope. I well have to wait to see if he will list them.>>> http://goccf.com/t/354422&whichpage=3#3114223
