Hi all, I do not do errors. so I need some help with this
weights 1.8 grams. is it a dime planchet or something else.

Look like the edge was ground down. The used to do that years ago to try and use them for dimes in vending machines.

Copper cents that have been soaked in acid also sometimes look like this. Can you please show us what the edge of this coin looks like? Thx.

looks ground down to imitate a dime. Not an error, just damage. Only worth a cent though, sorry. Keep searching!

Yep,I think it's (was) a soda cent.. We as kids would file down cents on a concrete curb until it became the size of a dime..and then enjoy a cool refreshing soda for all our hard work...

Acid. If it were ground down, the thickness would be normal. It is thinned in all directions from the acid exposure.

They used to turn cents into dimes to buy a soda from a vending machine. (10 cents then, and made them in chemistry class) I remember 7 cent machines for the 7 ounce bottles of coke and 7 up. So they would put a thin cent into the machine and get three more cents back in change. (The change allowed to pay 2 cents for the bottle deposit then)
