hey guy's, so I know this is a more modern cent but I was searching for any mules in 2010/2011/2012 rolls today and I came across this 2011 Non Magnetic 1 cent with a very oddly "bowl" shaped rim.

If you have seen the 2011 Non Magnetic Copper Plated Zinc cents you may notice the rim is usually fairly thick and raised from the coin like this.

Same with the 2011 Copper Plated Steel Magnetic cents have roughly the same rim that look like this

Now this is what I found on a 2011 Copper Plated Zinc Non Magnetic cent..

Now before anyone say's it is damage, this rim is identical on the Reverse & Obverse, I also have a digital Caliper measuring tool and this cent is exactly the same width and thickness of a normal rim 2011 Copper Plated Zinc 1 cent and it is also the same weight.

As far as I am aware damage would lead to the coin being thinner and wider, yet this coin is well within specifications for this year.

Does anyone happen to know what could have caused this? an over polished die maybe?

Thank you in advance.

Look at the devices, at their highest points. Can you post a photo of the edges of the coins, side by side?

The answer is obvious - but try to think your way through this... hint: there are three dies that strike every coin.

I would like to say it is Die Deterioration as well but you have me stumped, I know that there are 3 different dies used for striking Business Srikes, Proof Strikes and Specimen Strikes but if thats not what you are referring to I was only aware of 2 dies (obverse & reverse) that strike a single coin during the minting process (this area is fuzzy for me) but I am still learning.

Here are the photos you requested as well.
All the devices when on its side seem to be even except for the beads and rims on both sides, coin in question is on the left.
