2002-D Dime On 25 Cent Planchet? - Coin Community Forum

Pepper2015 New Member United States 6 Posts	Posted 01/07/2020 01:35 am Hello all, I found an interesting dime today. It appears to be a 2002 D Roosevelt dime on a Quarter Planchet. Interesting how Roosevelt has Washington's nose!! I am not new here per say. But I am in the infant stage. So if I am wrong just politely let me know. Not in the mood for a knock down drag out. . Not in the mood for a knock down drag out. you should expect only politeness here on CCF. With regard to this coin, it would help to have a few parameters: the diameter and weight. I'm assuming that this dime is roughly the same diameter as a quarter and that is why you are thinking it was struck on the wrong planchet, yes? I do note that some folks flatten coin by hammering them between two straps of leather--creating a so-called " Texas Cent". Once we have the weight and diameter, we should be able to help you more.
