2 very worn and beaten up Dutch 5 cent coins, these coins are very small and dinky being just 12.5mm in size, how people did not lose them is beyond me.

More junk silver beauties.

Finally this very beaten up 10 Rappen of Switzerland.

Without the hole and the gunk, this would be a FINE piece.
These coins I found out were billion and like 10% silver or something.

Still a first year coin

Great stuff, Princetane, and we're back to Halfcrowns!

My only 1850 British coins are a holey farthing and a halfcrown!

Love that Dollar and New Orleans too - a classic antebellum piece.

NumisRob, agree about Halfcrowns, but alas my collection growth has been mostly in the 17th century and post 1887, so you won't see any from me until we reach 1845 and then 1836.

Large cents to start out for 1850.

As we go back in time, my German States collection grows, while my US coin collection necessarily shrinks!

This 1850 1/2 Kreuzer of Baden (German States) is one of my prettier minors from the era.
