Anyone else having problems completing a purchase on ebay today? PayPal gets caught in a loop requesting me to add a payment method (which exists in PayPal and was able to use it on another venue this week). I have tried using the credit card payment on ebay, but it is processed through PayPal and comes back unable to complete. I have called both ebay and PayPal, each blaming the other of course.

Are you using a gift card? I ran into this problem when the purchase price exceeded the amount left on the gift card.

Nope, just a normal PayPal purchase. As I said earlier, I know PayPal works from another purchase. From my point of view, the link between ebay and PayPal is broken because I am not getting rejected, it is just coming back and looping. No matter what computer, phone, browser, app, etc. that I use. I also tried using a different card to pay directly, but it is still being processed through PayPal as the handler.

Bingo! Funny thing, this Ike is not much. They should just let me have it. I am good for it.

Maybe transfer some money from your bank to PayPal, so you can pay directly from your PayPal account. But that may take a couple days to clear. Otherwise, just try again tonight, and the glitch in their system will probably resolve.

I spent a good bit of time on the phone with both PayPal and ebay. I am convinced it is an ebay problem. PayPal never sees the attempt while we tested in real-time. After all was said and done, ebay asked to have the seller invoice me and I pay them directly. I have bought from this seller before, so I am sure it will work out.

Am sure it's a glitch. ebay will fix it soon if they want to sell stuff.

I would hope so, but it is still not working. Found a few posts in the ebay community with the same issue the last two days. No answers, of course, but it is good to know it is not me. Meanwhile, I am waiting on the seller to get back to me.

I got an email today saying my PayPal account has been set to limited. It did not give me a reason why and said I needed to log in using the link in the email to fix it. I have not tried logging on using the link as something does not feel right about it. Has anyone ever gotten an email from PayPal like this? Quote: At PayPal, your security is a top priority. we've taken extra precaution to confirm that your PayPal account is secure and have assigned your account with a temporary limited.
You will need to restore your account to re-access your PayPal account.
To restore your account:
1. Click "Log In Now." In the below section.
2. Follow the steps to restore your PayPal account.
Log in Now
Once you've done this, your PayPal account will be restored immediately. I did look on PayPal for the term "Limited" and it says they do send out emails like this but always give you a reason why your account was set to limited. The email above gives no reason and this is why I am thinking somethig fishy is going on.
