1960 P Lrg Lincoln Memorial Cent / LMC I Honestly Have No Answer To What I Am Seeing With The Date.

Jim0815 Pillar of the Community United States 5239 Posts	Posted 01/20/2020 6:59 pm I found this 1960 P Large date LMC and my very first thought was MD, but it's not. Then I thought DDD, but what I am seeing is going towards the center and does not flow towards the rim. I can't rule anything out as I have never seen this on any device/devices before. When I first louped it I could see the outline of each number of the date but when I turned the coin I could see two outlines and on the 9 I could see three lines. Everything I am seeing tells me this is a EDS and MDS at worst. Any help on telling me what I am seeing for the first time is greatly appreciated. I would hang onto it for now. Below the '6' looks like a lamination or a struck through debris. If it were die wear it would be on the sides facing the rim direction. Report this Post to the Staff
