i was looking through one of my last rolls of 1967's and came across this, I have no clue what to call it as I have no idea what it is. Only the first "E" in "ELIZABETH" is affected by this and nothing else, when I first saw it I thought maybe another DDO but I'm not quite sure.

I also ruled out damage from any type of hit as this metal is actually coming from the coin and not sitting on it, I pushed it with a wooden tooth pick to try and see if it would move and it is solid.

Any ideas on what this is?

Thanks in advance.

Thank you Greasy Fingers, I'm leaning towards that too but I figured I better get some opinions first as I wouldn't want to toss it and than find out it was something later on and not have it anymore.

I'm no expert but from what I see I'd have to agree.

If it's damage from being hit you should be able to lift off with a tooth pick if the metal in fact was moved from a hit across the device. Is there any other doubling?
