XF 40 possibly cleaned. Had to tell from a pic what scratches are on the coin or on the slab.

I agree with the frog. VF25 cleaned ( due to lacking detail in remaining LIBERTY lettering )

VF cleaned. I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't details it. TPGs are very inconsistent.

I agree with most people's opinion that the coin is around a VF grade. I guess the TPG was feeling generous.

Holy Smokes!
Although the new image does show more luster and full Liberty, the dies look like they were well worn. A nice coin. Show the reverse too please.

So PCGS did not Specify it was cleaned on the slab?

My first thought was soft strike XF 40. The coin looked like it had an old cleaning and retoned market graded to VF 25 or VF 30. Never expected an AU53. That coin will never get cracked out.
