I got a lot of Bufalo nickels over the years most of time they wore date off never looked for s p d I thought when they were that worn down not worth any thing I see some of the s varieties worth 100 dollar.

I believe worn off date nickels are worth 5 cents. The vast majority of bison nickels are worth .25-.75, there are a few dates in the teens that are worth more. The 14D, 13 d and 13s are worth more.

You can raise the date with either Nick-o-Date or a solution of peroxide and white vinegar . Some dates and mints that are rare would still be worth $$ to the right collectors .

To buy dateless buffalos is way more than 5c each. More like 20c in bulk.

Have to try peroxide and white vinegar does not seem to toxic seen some one using nick-o-date say not to get on fingers.

You may hear that a dateless Nickel is worth xxx if you can raise the date but try selling one. That is when you find out the real value.

I asked my LCS for dateless bison nickels you get a nickel. If they have dates you'll get 10-15 cents for commons.
