It's called zinc rot. When air hits the exposed zinc core, it starts to deteriorate. It's a spender.

I know it makes me weird but I think it's beautiful so not a spender but I appreciate the input.

I thought it was just too perfectly shaped to be damage but I definitely have novice eyes. I still think it's cool and thank you for the welcome. I am super excited to be here.
